Horns on two TCM forklifts at VPL meal plant are not working. Our TMP requires operators to honk the horns approaching a blind corner, within 4m of a pedestrian , approaching another forklift, entering a building. We have just placed a 40ft container in a high forklift/pedestrian traffic zone creating a narrow passage way with blind corners at either end. In addition there is also a small doorway exit/entrance way opening onto this passage way. Use of the horn when entering and exiting this zone is becoming compulsory and will be monitored.
