TRUCK DRIVER INDUCTION  

The purpose of this induction is for Remediation (NZ) Ltd to comply with the latest WorkSafe NZ regulations.
In alignment, with this, all persons entering this site must comply with our site policies.

Truck Traffic Management:

All Truck Drivers must:

  1. Report to the Green Dispatch Hut if new to the site OR if you haven’t been inducted in last 12 months
  2. Adhere to our ONE-WAY Traffic system
  3. Not exceed our on site 20km speed limit
  4. Turn on Beacon or Hazard lights while on site (this includes the entire driveway)
  5. Observe ALL SIGNS
  6. Communicate with the Dispatch Administrator via CB channel 11 or RT channel 36 (1 person at a time/please wait your turn)
  7. Announce yourself when entering/leaving the site/ heading to Wash Bay
  8. Note that trucks and heavy machinery will be given consideration and right of way by light vehicles

Mobile phone use

    Strictly no mobile phone use onsite while driving unless using a handsfree or mounted device.

    Otherwise, you can use your phone if you have pulled over and parked.

    Barrier Arms:
    1. Slow down
    2. One vehicle at a time
    3. No tailgating
    4. Wait your turn
    Truck Driver Site Rules:

    While on site you must:

    1. Wear appropriate PPE gear ie Hi Viz vest
      A Hi Viz vest can be provided while on site if you don’t have one
    2. Always remain in your vehicle (unless using toilet or Washdown Bay)
    3. Note that the Washdown Bay is for washing bins and wheels ONLY
    4. Not load yourself
    5. Exercise caution around stockpiles
    6. Move to a safe space away from site traffic to tarp up, once loaded
    7. Only put truck and trailer covers on from the ground, where practical.
    8. Report any accidents, incidents or near hits immediately to any one of the following:

    For your safety and the safety of others please:

    1. Do not enter our site if you are feeling unwell or testing positive
    2. General on-site Covid 19 Protocols:
    3. 1. Maintain physical distancing between yourself and others.
    4. 2. Use the Hut hand sanitiser if required
     Tip head

    Once unloaded, move off the tip-head to the parking /cleanout area to check

     Hours Of Business:

    Mon- Fri 7:00am until 5:00pm (Last truck 4:30pm)
    After hours (including Sat) – By prior arrangement with management

    Basic First Aid is in the Green Dispatch Hut, Workshop, Office, Quarry, and Vehicles

    Site Emergency:

    In the event of an emergency an alert will be broadcasted on CB/RT asking staff, visitors, and truck drivers to promptly head to the designated emergency areas and follow the instructions of site staff:

    • Opposite Main Office
    • Compost Shed
    • Quarry – Smart Shelter

    or leave the site if safe to do so.

LIGHT VEHICLE DRIVER INDUCTION  

The purpose of this induction is for Remediation (NZ) Ltd to comply with the latest WorkSafe NZ regulations.
In alignment with this all persons entering this site must comply with our Site policies.

  4. Turn on Beacon or hazard lights while on site (this includes the entire driveway)
  5. Observe ALL SIGNS
  6. Give consideration and right of way to trucks and heavy machinery

    3. Not approach heavy machinery without communicating with its operator first
    4. Park in designated car parks
    5. Undergo a contractor induction if you are a Contractor
    6. Notify your contact person of your arrival on site
    7. Note that the Washdown Bay is for washing bins and wheels ONLY
    8. Report any accidents, incidents or near hits immediately to any one of the following::
